The Satyam Yoga school offers a range of classes and fee structures to suit everyone. These yoga classes are designed to allow you to progress and develop your own personal practice. Rest assured that individual attention and opportunities to expand your interests will be available to you. We are dedicated to the mission of offering you the most comprehensive and integrated yoga classes available in South Africa. If you want to learn the deeper aspects of yoga and study the theory and philosophy of yoga, then this is the place for you. - ITY (Introduction to Yoga): This is a comprehensive course for beginners that will explore all of the fundamental concepts and philosophies that are essential for new students to gain the most benefit from their yoga practice. During the course you will learn how to prepare the joints and body for practicing the traditional asanas (stretches) of hatha yoga. You will also learn all the various techniques of pranayama (breathing) and meditation. Each student will receive individual attention and learn how to properly practice the techniques common to yoga. The full course begins in Feb and ends in Dec of each year with a new lesson introduced each month. During the course you will gain a deep insight into the practice and application of yoga.
- Sadhana: These are classes are intended for students with previous experience who are comfortable with meditation and an interest in the deeper aspects of yoga.
- Intensive Teacher Training: This course will be of interest to students who want to become yoga teachers and deepen their personal practice of yoga and students. This is a practical course that will go into detailed study of each yoga technique with the view that student who attend this course will perfect their own understanding and personal practice of yoga. The course is open to any student with some previous experience and once completed students who graduate will recieve a diploma and a letter of certificate that fulfills all of the criteria required for international accreditation.
