Intensive Teachers Training: Swami Yogasagar has created a new concept in Teacher Training for students who want to become yoga teachers. The Intensive Teacher Training is designed to empower you with the skills to teach a wide range of techniques. Once certified you will be fully capable of composing and teaching a yoga class that will be suitable for all levels of practice.

Overview: The course begins with a residential intensive workshop hosted in Magaliesburg Gauteng and is supported by a series of one day workshops at the school and  a full year's subscription to class. The ITT intensive workshops and the residential retreat will cover the theory and method of teaching. Attendance to the ITY classes will be your practical introduction to the teaching style and  techniques of yoga.  

Training: The following components of training illustrate the hours required to fulfill the international standards. A total of more than 225 hours is achieved.

• Residential Retreat: hosted in Magaliesburg Gauteng this is a 7 day intensive training in the theory and method of teaching. (70 hours)

• One Day Intensives: hosted at the school in Johannesburg to review and fine tune your skills. (40 hours)

• ITY Workshops: hosted at the school in Johannesburg these 4 hour workshops are an opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience and expand your knowledge. (32 hours)

• Classes: All trainees must attend regular classes at the school. Based on a minimum of one class a week however there is no limit to you attending classes. (60 hours)

• Homework: All homework is emailed and marked by swami Yogasagar. (20 hours) based on 4 modules requiring 5 hours each)

• Exams: includes a practical (teaching) and a written theory exam. (5 hours) based on previous

Qualifications: This course will comply with the international standards of a 200 hundred hour intensive training and will begin in February 2011. In the meantime I do recommend that you attend some classes at the school to meet with me and experience the teaching style so you can be sure that you want to commit to the course.

Total Fee (R 12000): The course includes a one year subscription to unlimited classes and all intensive training sessions.
