Satyananda Tradition: The following teachers and schools represent the Satyananda Tradition of Yoga in South Africa. Some of these schools and teachers may also offer a range of classes and workshops that are not part of the Satyananda System. CAPE TOWN: The Satyananda tradition is represented in Capetown by a small school that teaches general classes and conducts regular workshops on all aspects of yoga.

DURBAN: The Shraddha Yoga School was established by Shraddhamurti (Katherine Clegg). The school offers a variety of classes specially designed for your different needs and levels of experience. New students can start with the ITY (Introduction to Yoga) course for beginners and progress to the advanced practices of yoga at a systematic and gradual pace. The yoga room has ample floor space, is situated in a tranquil area, surrounded by the sounds and energies of a "fairytale forest". Personal attention and guidance forms an integral part of the yoga class and the atmosphere in the Yoga Room is safe and serene, so that every student will feel calm, secure and loved.

 Yoga-Teachers-Fellowship

 

The Yoga Teachers Fellowship: is a dedicated organization that represents yoga schools and yoga teachers in South Africa. They do not train or qualify yoga teachers however they do provide a list of teachers who are members of thier organization. The teachers who are registered with the YTF may be from different traditions and thier teaching skills may vary according to thier experience and the style of yoga they practice. Please be aware that the YTF is not in any way affiliated with the Satyam Yoga School nor does the YTF gaurentee that the teachers they promote are trained in the Satyananda Tradition.
